Composition: Each vial contains:

Indication:

Sterplak^®1 is for treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to dihydrostreptomycin, such as osteoarthritis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin infections, wound, leptospirosis and actinomycosis.

Mechanism of action:

Dihydrostreptomycin belongs to the group of aminoglycosides and acts against aerobic gram-negative bacteria and has no effect on anaerobic gram-negative bacteria and most gram-positive bacteria. This drug acts as an inhibitor of bacterial protein synthesis.

Dosage & Administration:

Add 10 ml sterile WFI to the powder, shake well then use deep intramuscular injection immediately.

10 mg/kg B.W., 2 or 3 times a day for 3-5 days.

Withdrawal time:

Milk: 2 days after the last treatment

Meat: 21 days after the last treatment

Contra-indications:

Do not administer IV injection.

Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides.

Do not administer in animals with a serious liver impaired and renal function.

Do not administer concurrently with other aminoglycosides and furosemide.

Caution:

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.

Storage:

Do not store above 25 °C, keep away from light and moisture.

Packing:

25×20 ml flip off-capped vials in a box
