Indications:
Albezol® is used to control and treatment a variety of parasitic infestations:
Cattle, Calves, Sheep and Goats:
Gastrointestinal nematodes (mature, immature and inhibited larval stages):
Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Haemonchus, Chabertia, Cooperia, Bunostomum, Strongloides, Oesophagostomum and Nematodirus.
Gastrointestinal cestodes: Moniezia, Helicometra
Lung worms: Dictyocaulus filaria, Protostrongylus and Dictyocaulus viviparous
Hepatic trematodes: Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica and Dicrocoelium dendriticum.
Mechanism of action:
Albendazole belongs to the group of benzimidazoles, which inhibits the activity of the fumarate reductase enzyme and prevents energy production in the parasite. As a result, it causes muscle paralysis of the parasites and their destruction.
Dosage & Administration:
Sheep and Goats: 1 ml per 5 kg of body weight to eliminate gastrointestinal and respiratory nematodes and 3 ml per 10 kg of body weight to eliminate liver parasites (Fasciola hepatica).
Cattles and Calves: 3 ml per 10 kg of body weight to eliminate gastrointestinal and respiratory nematodes and 2 ml per 5 kg of body weight to eliminate liver parasites (Fasciola hepatica).
Withdrawal time:
Meat:
Cattles and Calves: 14 days after the last treatment
Sheep and Goats: 10 days after the last treatment
Milk: 3 days after the last treatment
Contra-indications:
Do not use during the first 45 days of pregnancy.
Caution:
Shake well before use.
Should be used within 30 days after opening the seal.
If hand and face contaminated by the product, immediately wash with water.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.
Storage:
Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.
