Turkeys: Infectious sinusitis
Calves, Foals, Lambs and Kids: Pneumonia, Bronchopneumonia, Rhinitis and Cough
Mechanism of action:
Bromhexine is a mucolytic drug that increases the proportion of serous bronchial secretion and makes the phlegm thinner and less sticky. This contributes to transport the phlegm out of respiratory tract and facilitate treatment of respiratory disorders.
The addition of menthol to bromhexine serves as a plant-derived mucolytic that clears and freshens the airways for better respiratory function.
Dosage & Administration:
Poultry and Turkeys: 100 ml/100 L of drinking water, daily
Calves and Foals: 1-2 ml/10 kg B.W., daily
Lambs and Kids: 0.2-0.4 ml/10 kg B.W., daily
This product should be used for 3-5 days in the drinking water.
Withdrawal time:
Meat: 2 days after the last treatment
Contra-indications:
Do not use in poultry that produce eggs for human consumption.
Caution:
Should be used within 30 days after opening the seal.
Medicated water should be used within 24 hours.
Drug concentrations in bronchial secretions increase, when bromhexine is used with chloramphenicol, tetracycline and spiramycin.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.
Storage:
Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.
