Indications:
Baymidine® 33.3% is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is effective against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium perfringens, E. coli, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Chlamydia spp., Nocardia spp. and protozoan like Coccidia and Toxoplasma spp.
Mechanism of action:
Sulfadimidine sodium is a broad-spectrum sulfonamide that by competing with PABA, inhibits folic acid and as a result interrupts the synthesis of bacterial proteins and it is bacteriostatic.
Dosage & Administration:
30 ml per 50 kg B.W. for first day and 15 ml per 50 kg B.W. for the second, third and fourth days
Withdrawal time:
Meat: 10 days after the last treatment
Milk: 4 days after the last treatment
Contra-indications:
Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides is possible.
Do not use during treatment with vitamin K3, drugs contain calcium and antioxidant drugs.
Do not use in lactating cows 20 months of age or older.
Do not use in renal or liver dysfunctions.
Caution:
Should be used within 30 days after opening the seal.
Medicated water should be used within 24 hours.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.
Storage:
Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.
