Mycopect®

Water soluble powder

Therapeutically classification: Antibiotic

Lincomycin (HCl)                                           222 mg

Spectinomycin (sulphate tetrahydrate)           444.66 mg

Target Species: Poultry (Broilers, Breeders, Pullets)

Indications:

Mycopect® is used for gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by micro-organisms sensitive to spectinomycin and lincomycin such as Mycoplasma, E. coli, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp. and Spirochetes. Mycopect® is one of the best combinations for treatment and prevention of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and CRD complex, and helps to increase the growth of chickens.

Mechanism of action:
Lincomycin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic and belongs to lincosamides group that binds to 50S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis. Spectinomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic and belongs to aminocyclitol that binds to 30S ribosomal subunit and irreversibly inhibits the synthesis of   bacterial proteins. The synergistic effects of these two antibiotics on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and Mycoplasma spp. are more than the effects of them alone.
