Composition: Each vial contains:

Dihydrostreptomycin (sulfate)   3 g

Target species: Cattle, horse, sheep, goats, cats, dogs

Pharmacology:

Dihydrostreptomycin belongs to the aminoglycosides. Aminoglycosides display bactericidal activity against most gram-negative bacteria, but not against gram-negative anaerobes and most gram-positive bacteria. These activities are attributed to primary mode of action as bacteria protein synthesis inhibitors.

Indication:

Sterplak^® 3 is for treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to dihydrostreptomycin, such as osteoarthritis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, wound, skin infections, leptospirosis and actinomycosis.

Dosage & Administration:

Add 10 ml sterile WFI and shake well before use.

10 mg/kg BW, 2 or 3 times a day for 3-5 days (intramuscular injection).

Contra-indications:

Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides.

Do not administer in animals with a serious impaired liver and renal function.

Do not administer concurrently with other aminoglycosides and furosemide.

Caution:

By deep intramuscular injection.

Never intravenously.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of veterinarian.

Add sterile WFI and shake well before use.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: 21 days after last treatment

Milk: 2 days after last treatment

Storage:

Do not store above 25 °C, keep away from light and moisture.

Packing:

25×20 ml flip-off capped vials in a box
