Mechanism of action:

Penicillin is an antibiotic of the ß-lactam class and kanamycin belongs to the aminoglycosides. Penicillin acts by interfering with the formation of the bacteria cell wall while it is growing and weakens the cell wall and kills the bacteria. Penicillin G is active against many gram-positive and a limited number of gram-negative bacteria however not active against the penicillinase-producing bacteria. Aminoglycosides display bactericidal activity against most gram-negative bacteria, but not against gram-negative anaerobes and most gram-positive bacteria. This bactericidal activity is done by inhibiting protein synthesis. The combination of penicillin G procaine and Kanamycin acts synergistically and it is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Add 10-15 ml sterile WFI to the powder, shake well then use deep intramuscular injection immediately.
