Neomycin (sulfate) | 200 | mg |
Target species: Calves, kids, Lambs, Poultry, Turkey
Indications:
Neocin® 20% is indicated for the treatment of bacterial enteritis in Calves, Kids, Lamps, Poultry, Turkey caused by bacteria susceptible to neomycin, such as E. coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter spp, and Histomonas meleagridis in turkey.
Pharmacology:
Neomycin is an antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group with bactericidal activity. It is protein synthesis inhibitor. Neomycin has excellent activity against gram-negative bacteria, and has partial activity against gram-positive bacteria.
Dosage & Administration:
Calves, Kids and Lambs: 22 mg/kg body weight (11ml/100kg body weight) for 3-5 days
Poultry: up to second week: 1 ml/4 L drinking water, 3-5 days
From third week to end of term: 1 ml/2.5 L drinking water, 3-5 days
Turkey: up to first week: 1 ml/2.5 L drinking water, 3-5 days
From second week to end of eighth week: 1 ml/1.5 L drinking water, 3-5 days
From ninth week to twenty sixth week: 1 ml/1.2 L drinking water, 3-5 days
Caution:
Hypersensitivity to neomycin may be occurred.
Do not administer to animals with a seriously impaired renal function.
Do not administer during lactation.
Do not administer to poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
Use only under the prescription of veterinarian.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Withdrawal time:
Calves: 30 days / Kids, Lambs: 20 days
Poultry: 7 days / Turkey: 14 days
Storage:
Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.
