Target species: Poultry, Turkeys, Calves, Lambs, Kids

Indications:

Neocin® is used for treatment of enteritis caused by bacterial susceptible to Neomycin, such as E. coli, Salmonella spp. and campylobacter spp.

Mechanism of action:

Neomycin is an antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group with bactericidal activity. This drug caused protein synthesis inhibition, by binding irreversible connection to 30S ribosomal subunit. Neomycin has excellent activity against gram-negative bacteria and has partial activity against gram-positive bacteria.

Dosage & Administration:

Calves, Goats and Sheep: Use 12 -14 mg Neomycin (sulfate) per kg body weight for 3-5 consecutive days.

Poultry: One 500 g bag per 500 liters of drinking water for 3-5 consecutive days.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: Calves: 30 days after the last treatment / Lambs, Kids: 20 days after the last treatment / Poultry: 14 days after the last treatment

Eggs: 14 days after the last treatment

Drug interactions:

Avoid using simultaneously with macrolides or florfenicol.

Do not use with diuretic drugs and aminoglycosides.

Contra-indications:

Hypersensitivity to neomycin may be occurred.

Do not administer to animals with a seriously impaired renal function.

Do not administer during lactation.

Do not administer to poultry producing eggs for human consumption.

Do not administer to animals with an active microbial digestion.

Caution:

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.

Storage:

Do not store above 25 ͦ C, keep away from light and moisture.

Packing:

100 g sachet and 500 g bag.
