Indications:

Mycopect® is used for control and treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to spectinomycin and lincomycin such as Mycoplasma, E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp. and Spirochetes. This drug is one of the best combinations for treatment and prevention of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and CRD complex, and helps to increase the growth of chickens.

Mechanism of action:
Lincomycin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic and belongs to lincosamides group that binds to 50S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis. Spectinomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic and belongs to aminocyclitol that binds to 30S ribosomal subunit and irreversibly inhibits the synthesis of   bacterial proteins. The synergistic effects of these two antibiotics on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and Mycoplasma spp. are more than the effects of them alone.
