Target species: Lactating cows

Indication:

Mastolip® MC is used for treatment and control of bacterial infections caused mastitis in dairy cows during lactating period.

Mechanism of action:

Lincomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and it is active against gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Mycoplasmas; however, it is rarely active against gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella. Neomycin has a broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus and Streptococcus and gram-negative bacteria including E. coli and Salmonella spp. The combination of lincomycin and neomycin has bactericidal effect against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli and bacteriostatic activity against Streptococcus. Glucocorticoid is an anti-inflammatory drug. Prednisolone acts to inhibit inflammatory cells and suppresses expression of inflammatory mediators. Prednisolone is approximately four times more potent than cortisol.

Dosage & Administration:

Clean and disinfect the teat, then infuse one syringe into each quarter at the last lactating. Massage the medication up into the milk cistern. If necessary, be repeated within 12 hours (up to 3 times).

Withdrawal time:
