Composition: Each ml contains:

Closantel (sodium)

50 mg

Target species: Ruminants (Cattle, Calves, Sheep and Goats)

Indications:

Helmitel^® is a broad spectrum anthelmintic. This drug is used for control and treatment of different worm infections caused by trematodes (Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantia), nematodes (Haemonchus spp., Bunostomum spp. and Oesophagostomum spp.) and larvae of Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma lineatum, Oestrus ovis and Lucilia cuprina.

Mechanism of action:                                                                                           

Closantel with penetration into the mitochondria membrane, prevents the oxidative phosphorylation and carrying electrons and prevents the formation of ATP and, as a result, it causes death due to a significant change in the metabolism of parasites.

 

Dosage and administration:

Sheep and Goats:

Fasciola spp., Chabertia spp. and Oesophagostomum spp.: 1 ml/5 kg of B.W.

Haemonchus spp. and Oestrus ovis: 1 ml/10 kg of B.W.

Fascioloides magna and Lucilia cuprina: 1 ml/3.3 kg of B.W.

Cattle and Calves:

Fasciola spp., Heamonchus spp., Bunostomum spp. and Oesophagostomum spp.: 1 ml/10 kg of B.W.

Hypoderma bovis and Hypoderma lineatum: 1 ml/5 kg of B.W.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: 28 days after the last treatment

Milk: 28 days after the last treatment

Contra-indications:

Do not use with chlorinated compounds (pesticide) because of the poisoning.

Do not use in final trimester of pregnancy and dry period of the cattle that produce milk for human consumption.

Do not use in ewes that produce milk for human consumption at least a year before lambing.

Caution:

Should be used within 30 days after opening the seal.

Shake well before use.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.

Storage:

Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.
