Composition: Each ml contains:

Closantel (sodium)           100 mg

Target species: Cattle, Sheep

Indications:

Helmitel^® 10% is used for treatment and prevention of several parasites infections caused by trematodes like Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica, nematodes like Haemonchus placei, Haemonchus contortus, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Oesophagostomum radiatum and Chabertia ovina and also larval stage of arthropods like Hypoderma bovis and Hypoderma lineatum and Oesterus ovis.

Mechanism of action:

Closantel is a broad spectrum and synthetic antiparasitic agent which is highly effective against liver fluke, bloodsucking nematodes and larval stages of some arthropods in cattle and sheep. Closantel decouples the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, which leads to the inhibition of ATP synthesis. This causes a significant change in energy metabolism, leading to the death of the parasite.

Dosage & Administration:

This product is used by SC administration:

Sheep and Cattle less than 200 kg: 1 ml /20 kg B.W.
Cattle of  200 to 400 kg : 10 ml
Cattle over 400 kg : 10 ml plus 5 ml/200 kg of extra B.W.

Withdrawal times

Meat: 77 days after the last treatment

Contra indications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to Closantel.
Do not use by IV or IM administration.
Do not use for cattle and ewes producing milk for human consumption, including during the dry period.

Do not use with chlorinated compounds (pesticide).

Caution:

Do not administer more than 20 ml per injection site.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.

In use stability:

28 days after first needle insertion

Storage:

Do not store above 25^°C, keep away from light and freezing.

Packing:

50 ml vial in a box
