Indications:
Enroflak® 10% is used for treatment of single or mixture infections due to gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria and mycoplasmas such as CRD, coli septicemia, fowl cholera, infectious coryza, salmonellosis and other infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Mechanism of action:
Enrofloxacin is a synthetic drug from the class of quinolone carboxylic acid derivatives. It has bactericidal activity against broad spectrum of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Enrofloxacin acts its bactericidal activity by inhibiting of DNA-gyrase enzyme and stopping the DNA and RNA synthesis.
Dosage and administration:
0.5-1 ml per 1 liter drinking water (10 mg enrofloxacin per kg B.W.), daily for 3-5 consecutive days
For salmonella and pasteurella infections, should be treated in 5-10 days longer.
Withdrawal time:
Broilers: 11 days after the last treatment
Pullets: 14 days after the last treatment
Contra-indications:
Do not use in poultry that produce eggs for human consumption.
Do not use in pullets, 14 days before laying.
Do not mix in solutions with aluminum, calcium, iron or zinc, because chelation may occur.
Do not use in case with tetracyclines, chloramphenicols and macrolides.
Do not use Enroflak® 10% oral solution as prophylaxis treatment.
Caution:
Should be used within 30 days after opening the seal.
Medicated water should be used within 24 hours.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.
Storage:
Do not store above 25ºC, keep away from light and freezing.
