Indications:

Endmast® is used for treatment and control of mastitis in dairy cows during the dry period.

Mechanism of action:

Cloxacillin is beta-lactamase resistant penicillin that, like other beta-lactam drugs, by binding to penicillin-binding protein (PBP), inhibits the trans-peptidases and prevents the construction of the bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan and causes destruction of the bacterial cell wall. Sulfadimidine sodium by competing with PABA, inhibits folic acid and, as a result, interrupts the synthesis of bacterial protein, therefore it is bacteriostatic. Trimethoprim acts by interfering with bacterial dihydrofolate reductase enzyme that builds tetrahydrofolic acid, an essential cofactor in the production of thymidine and DNA. Bacteria producing folic acid are sensitive to these drugs, so this medication stops their proliferation.

Clean and disinfect the teat, then infuse one syringe into each quarter at the last lactating. Massage the medication up into the milk cistern.
