Composition: Each ml contains:

Levamisole HCl             75 mg

Target Species: Cattle and Sheep

Indications:

Baymisole® 7.5% is used in the treatment and control of gastrointestinal and respiratory nematode infections. This drug affects the adult form and larvae of parasites including Dictyocaulus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Ostertagia spp., Haemonchus spp., Nematodirus spp., Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Strongyloides spp., Protostrongylus spp., Chabertia spp., Capillaria spp. and Ascaris spp.

Mechanism of action:

Levamisole is an anti-parasite drug of the imidazothiazole class that by stimulating the parasite’s nervous system, causes spasm and rapid paralysis, thus separating and leaving the parasites from the animal body. Levamisole is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and metabolized in the liver.

 

Dosage & Administration:

7.5 mg/kg B.W. (1 ml/10 kg B.W.) by SC administration

Withdrawal:

Meat:

Beef cattle: 28 days after the last treatment

Sheep: 15 days after the last treatment

Contra-indications:

Do not used in cattle and sheep that produce milk for human consumption.

Caution:

Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.

After using the drug, wash your hands.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.

In use stability:

28 days after first needle insertion

Storage:

Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.

Packing:

50 ml vial in a box
