Indications:

Baymidine® is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is effective against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium perfringens, E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Chlamydia spp., Nocardia spp., Protozoa like  Coccidia, and Toxoplasma spp.

Mechanism of action:

Sulfadimidine sodium is a broad-spectrum sulfonamide and Bacteriostatic, which inhibits the synthesis of folic acid by competing with PABA and inhibits the growth of bacteria by interrupting protein synthesis.

Dosage & Administration:

3-6 ml/ 10 kg B.W. at the first day of treatment, then 3 ml/ 10 kg B.W. at the 2-5 days, subcutaneous and slow intravenous administration.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: 10 days after the last treatment.

Milk: 4 days after the last treatment.

Contra-indications:

Do not use during treatment with vitamin K3, drugs containing calcium and antioxidants.

Do not use in liver or renal dysfunctions.

Caution:

Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides is possible.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Use only under the prescription of a veterinarian.

In use stability:

14 days after first needle insertion

Storage:

Do not store above 25°C, keep away from light and freezing.
